A native of New York, Dr. Maheep Sohal has traveled far and wide to pursue advanced training in order to offer his patients the best possible care. After completing his undergraduate education at New York University, Dr. Sohal completed medical school at the University at Buffalo. He then went on to complete his otolaryngology residency at the University of Connecticut where he received the prestigious title of Chief Resident in his final year of training.

Dr. Sohal went on to pursue additional training in the highly competitive field of Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Arizona. There he learned how to manage and operate on complicated cases and frequently collaborated with neurosurgeons to treat rare tumors of the skull base. He subsequently completed a second fellowship in Allergy with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy in order to provide comprehensive care for all sinus and nasal issues. Dr. Sohal practiced for several years in Arizona before relocating to Colorado.

Dr. Sohal is unique in that he is only one of a handful of fellowship-trained rhinologists (ENTs with the most advanced training in nasal and sinus disorders) in the Denver metro area. His main clinical interests are nasal obstruction, primary and revision sinus surgery, sinus and nasal tumors, cerebrospinal fluid leaks and skull base tumors. He continues to provide comprehensive ENT care including ear issues, voice and throat disorders, neck masses, head and neck cancers and salivary and thyroid diseases. He treats both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Sohal’s main passion is patient care, however he also has authored over a dozen research papers and textbook chapters and has presented at numerous national meetings. He previously served as an Instructor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Arizona, teaching future ENT surgeons how to safely perform sinus & skull base surgery on complex cases. Furthermore, he previously served as Section Head of Otolaryngology at Tucson Medical Center, a busy regional transfer center located in southern Arizona.
